MONOPOD

Monopod is a small, prefabricated house designed for efficient living without compromising comfort. Built with care and creativity, it caters to those who seek both adventure and tranquility. Measuring 2.6 x 7.5 x 3 meters, this house is easily transportable and can be placed anywhere without the need for a building permit. It serves as a versatile living space ideal for weekends, camping, glamping, Airbnb rentals, etc.

Monopod distinguishes itself with its thoughtful use of materials, focusing on natural and sustainable options. Unlike traditional buildings, Monopod avoids synthetic insulation materials like gypsum cardboard panels, glass wool, and similar man made fibers. You can be sure that If it looks like wood, it is wood, emphasizing a philosophy that prioritizes the quality and honesty of materials over form.

Monopod employs advanced insulation techniques, including:

  • Armaflex (expanded rubber)
  • Mylar (multi-layer thin reflective foil)
  • Ecological HFI panels (pressed wooden shavings)
  • Multiple alternating layers of XPS and EPS
  • Triple-layer insulation glass windows

These methods ensure exceptional thermal and sound insulation, surpassing even the highest standards for traditional buildings.

One of Monopod’s standout features is its ease of transport and relocation. Prefabricated with precision by skilled crafts(wo)men in a tranquil natural setting, this small house is a labor of love and respect for both the environment and its future inhabitants.

Wrapped in high-quality cedar wood and stainless steel, Monopod combines aesthetics with durability. Cedar wood, known for its aromatic scent and distinct grain, offers flexibility, strength, and natural resistance to decay and insects. Stainless steel panels provide strength, moisture resistance, and longevity, making them easy to maintain and recycle.

Inside, Monopod features a cozy sleeping area with several wardrobes for storage. A small table with two chairs sits behind the bed, and the other side of the house contains the kitchen and toilet, ensuring convenience without sacrificing functionality.

The interior is dominated by light tones, enhancing the sense of space. Walls are clad in cotton white multilayer plywood, and the floor is made of darker oak wood, which improves in appearance over time. Natural wooden floors are more hygienic, preventing the accumulation of dust, odors, and bacteria. The furniture is crafted from high-quality ash and cedar, adding to the natural feel.

Whether placed in a remote forest, on a mountain, or by a serene lake, Monopod is more than just a residence — it’s a sanctuary. It offers an escape from the chaos of modern life and exemplifies the beauty of simplicity, allowing you to explore and connect with nature from the comfort of a small yet inviting home.
